Wow!! It’s hard to believe that Spring Break has already come and gone and we’ve turned the calendar to April! We hope you enjoyed spending time with your families over the break. We’re happy to be back and hoping for more spring-like weather in the days to come.
The month of March flew by quickly with Spring Break but we managed to squeeze in the letters “Q,” “R,” “S” and “T”. The children enjoyed creating “letter Q quilts” and “ducks” that “quack.” We made “rockets” for letter “R,” then finger-painted “snails” and dot-painted “snakes” for letter “S.” For letter “T,” we made “trains.” Before Spring Break we made festive shamrock head bands to wear for St. Patrick’s Day.
In April we will talk about the true meaning of Easter and the new life that Jesus has given us as he died and rose from the grave. This month we’ll continue to work on a letter a week so we can finish out the alphabet in May. In circle time we’ll read books about spring and learn some new songs.
With the weather warming up, we’re hoping to get outside more often. Please remember to send jackets for those cool mornings. We greatly appreciate you clearly marking your child’s name in them. It’s difficult for us to remember all the new jackets with the number of children we have throughout the week, and sometimes the children are not able to pick out their own belongings. Thanks!!
In March we celebrated birthdays with Zeke Felix and Lucy Ledford. We will celebrate with Natalie King, Jillian Olendorf and Dean Spears as they turn “3” in April. Happy birthday to all of you!!
Please join us in welcoming new siblings to several of our classmates. Congratulations to Elijah Anderson and family on the birth of Anna Elaine! Congratulations to Benjamin and Hudson Goff and family on the birth of baby June!
Hope you all have a blessed and joyous Easter!
