It is beyond our belief that we are in the next to the last month of school. This year has flown by so quickly. It has been a wonderful time of getting to know your children and helping them prepare for the next step in their academic journey.
During April our letters will be Uu, Vv, Ww, Xx and Yy. Along with our letter activities this month we will also create art, sing songs and hear stories about spring and the celebration of Easter. We will be blessed with a visit from Pastor Kathy on Good Friday and enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt in the classroom. The final stamp in or Passports will be in Europe as we do a crayon-resist egg. A very special tradition continues with the wedding of letters Q & U. They will celebrate their partnership in words on Friday, April 21st.
Some of our letter activities will include umbrellas, learning how vegetables grow, discovering the variety of weather conditions with experiments and having some fun with worms. The color yellow will be prominent when we read books about Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat.
The students will be completing their final journal for the year. It has been amazing to see the progress the students have made throughout. Ms. Twyla will come one last time with her red wagon and we will be watching as the Mama Duck on our playground hatches her eggs. In music we will begin preparing for our Spring Program in May. We think you will be delighted to see all the things we have learned this year.
We would like to thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given us this year. Thank you for all the snacks, extra help and of course for sharing your children with us this past year. It has been our sincere joy and privilege to be your children’s teachers.
