Welcome to Prairie
We are so glad you're interested in joining us in worship!

Prairie is a warm and welcoming community of faith filled with ordinary folks seeking to love God and love our neighbors in meaningful ways. We are not perfect by any means, but in recognizing this we better embrace the goodness of gathering, sharing, and serving in Christ centered, God loving ways. We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you better. All are welcomed here as Christ welcomes and loves us all.

Here are some quick answers to questions you might be asking before you visit.

  • What is it like?
    • When you join us on Sunday morning you will come in through the front steps to the Hospitality Area where folks will congregate before worship begins. If you need an accessible entrance you are welcome to use the large doors facing 75th Street starting at 9:45am. We have traditional order of worship and our music varies from week to week. Our scripture text will often come from the CEB or NRSV translations and we have our children come forward for children's time.
  • What about my kids?
    • Your children are welcome at Prairie! Children in kindergarten and up join us in worship and can participate in the children's time. Our younger friends go to our nursery for the duration of the service but do come up for the children's time as well.
  • Where do I park?
    • We have several spots you may park at! Spaces directly in front of our main entrance, the two parkling lots to the east and west along the creek, and at Sharp Law Frim.
  • What do I wear?
    • You are welcome to attend as you are! You will see everything from t-shirts and jeans to one of our Usher's in his jacket and tie and you will likely see a lot of red during football season.
  • I need help hearing.
    • We have several devices to help with your hearing needs during the service. See one of our Ushers in the Hospitality Area to recieve yours.
